5. To foster and strengthen unity among men through Christian fellowship, witness and outreach.

GOAL
TO EXHORT MEN TO BE “The Light of the World and the Salt of the Earth”

The Dominica Circuit M.C.C.A. Men’s Commission met on Saturday August 8, 2009 at the Ebenezer Chapel, Wesley at 10:00 a.m.

The objectives of the gathering was to:
1. To challenge men to greater commitment.
2. To motivate men into action.
3. To encourage men to be active on a Circuit level.

Reports on men’s work in the Congregations from September 2008 to August 2009, and plans for September 2009 to August 2010 were presented and received.
The Ebenezer and Zion Men’s Groups must be singled out and commended for being the most progressive men’s groups in the Circuit. An appeal is going out to all the men of the Circuit, you are all members of the MCCA Men’s Commission and as such; you are encouraged to be part of your Congregation’s men’s group.

Our Mission Statement, and Goal are very explicit and clear; we are charged with the responsibility for providing leadership in our home; church; and community. But; more importantly; we will be held accountable for the lack thereof.
Elections were held and the following officers were charged with the responsibility to serve:
President: Bro. Julian Brewster
Secretary: Bro. Augustus Colaire
Treasurer : Bro. Earl Edwards
Committee Members: Bros. Edison James, Murphy Wallace, Julian Jeremy, Quincy Hinds and Urban Irish.

We are reminded by the poetic words of our founding father in hymn 578, verse two:
To serve the present age,
My calling to fulfill
O may it all my powers engage
To do my Master’s will

As we continue on our pilgrim journey let us Rise up o men of GOD.
